Cloud computing is an emerging computing technology that uses the internet and central remote servers to maintain data and applications. Cloud computing allows consumers and businesses to use applications without installation and access their personal files at any computer with internet access. This technology allows for much more efficient computing by centralizing storage, memory, processing and bandwidth. MS Windows 7 out on Jan 09

After Vista's chronic development delays, Windows chief Steve Sinofsky appears to be making the trains run on time for Windows 7's release.

Microsoft plans to start handing out the first beta copies of Windows 7 on January 13, according to recent postings on three of the software giant's blogs.

The company already handed out pre-beta copies of the pending replacement for Windows Vista at two major developer conferences it held in Los Angels late October and early November.

However, the beta copies to be given out beginning in January will be "feature complete," unlike the ones handed out this fall.
