Robolympix 2K9 is an Open Robotics Challenge where Competitors from across the country compete in 9 different events: Robot Relay Race, Soccer, Freestyle Wrestling, Heptathlon, ‘Amphib’ and many more. All the events are a test of the mechanical efficiency of the Robot as well as the skills of the participants controlling the robot….either through a wireless or a wired medium.
The primary goal of Robolympix 2K9 is to offer recognition to budding engineers all over India from various disciplines. By offering gold, silver, and bronze medals, and inviting ‘budding robotics engineers’ from different states, Robolympix 2K9 gives everyone a chance to excel and compete with the best. This will surely ignite the urge to become ‘Faster, Higher and Stronger’ in the field of Robotics.

Three robots will be tested at a correctional facility in the southeastern city of Pohang next March when development is completed.
